GENERAL SUMMARY:
Oversees LPN’s and other unlicensed assistive personnel in the performance of nursing care of assigned patients under the direction of a registered nurse, mid-level provider or physician. Maintains a positive work relationship with the health care team. Demonstrates the ability to provide care and service with individuals of all assigned age groups. Performs Human Resource activities as well as operates within budget targets
Demonstrates actions consistent with Ochsner’s “Expectations” as duties are performed on a daily basis.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A.
Education, Experience & Training:
Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing, with current Louisiana licensure. Three years LPN experience required. One year of management experience in any field required.
Ambulatory care experience required.
B.
Other Qualifications:
CPR Healthcare Provider certification. Shift flexibility. Ability to work under pressure and set priorities. Self directed and able to work with minimal supervision. Attends pertinent continuing education offerings. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Mandatory: Knowledge of testing procedures and patient instructions.
Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures.
Strong interpersonal skills
Good organizational skills
Demonstrated leadership skills
Knowledge of infection control practices.
Preferred: IV Certification
