Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Sports Medicine Surgeon in Meridian, MS to help expand our innovative sports medicine program. In this pivotal role, you will develop cutting-edge treatment strategies and preventive care to active individuals and athletes of all ages and levels.  Our comprehensive program serves student athletes of all ages, middle school, high school and collegiate.  We offer the entire sports medicine care continuum with over 22 Athletic trainers, 3 Physical Therapist and 4 PTA’s, 5 surgeons, and 3 Advanced Practice Providers, at Ochsner Rush. 

Ochsner is a proud partner with world renowned orthopedic surgeon, Dr James Andrews, and Andrews Medicine. Starting in 2022, our partnership with Andrews Medicine has helped us continue to build upon our award-winning sports medicine program, sharing best practices around patient care and research. Dr. Andrews brings his expertise, research, and education platform, newly launched as Andrews Medicine, to strengthen the best-in-class care for patients and athletes across Louisiana and Mississippi.

Position Highlights:

  • General Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Coverage
  • OR dedicated suites with a dedicated Surgical 1st Assistant. OR and clinic in the same building.
  • MACO and DePuy robotics available
  • Support Staff is available:  MA in the clinic and dedicated RN for injections and educating patients.
  • 3 Physical Therapist and 4 PTA’s that are dedicated to our Orthopedic/Sports Rehab Program.
  • Call: General Orthopedics Call 1:4 (1 day during the week) and City-Wide Call is 1:6 on the weekends.
  • Join a highly collegial system – wide group comprised of general orthopedics and orthopedic sub-specialties
  • Integrated practice model with a strong, internal referral network
  • 24/7 reliable hospitalists onsite
