Job Duties: Diagnose and treat neurological diseases and disorders. Develop a plan of care for each patient, including complete medical history, physician examination, diagnosis, appropriate treatment and/or referral. Stress the importance of preventative health care measures. Use all available resources in diagnosis and treatment in an appropriate and cost-efficient manner. Confer with consulting physicians, nurses, patients and patients’ families concerning treatment and care of patients. Takes neurological On- Call coverage on an equal rotation basis with practice peers. Refer those cases that require specialist services while maintaining responsibility to assure that continuity of care is provided. Frequent travel to worksites in New Orleans area.

  • License to practice medicine in Louisiana
  • Completion of a neurology residency.
