This job will be responsible for talent attraction through career outreach events. In this role, an individual will act as an Ochsner Talent ambassador and primary point of contact for local, regional, and national career events and system-wide internal recruitment events for the critical workforce segments of Allied Health and Diversity Recruitment initiatives.

Education

Required –Associate’s degree

Preferred – Bachelor’s degree or higher education

Work Experience

Required – 2 years experience in a talent acquisition function, marketing, sales, orevent planning/management

Preferred – 2 years campus recruitment/university relations experience, experience with Diversity and Inclusion initiatives

Certifications

Preferred- Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Certified Health Care Recruiter (CHCR)

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Must be comfortable giving presentations, speaking to large groups of people and preparing presentation materials.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint, Applicant Tracking Systems, and/or other Candidate Relationship Management tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, time management skills and both oral and written

    communication stills.

  • Possess initiative and creativity to suggest ideas that improve the team’s ability to meet/exceedtalentattractionobjectives.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast paced, ever changing environment.
  • Creative enthusiasm including the ability to get past roadblocks using solutions oriented problem solving skills.
  • Ability to create lasting business relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel to different Ochsner facilities, local schools, and local/regional conferences.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule. Occasionally, you will need to be able to work at night or on the weekend.

Job Duties

  • Ownership of Allied Health recruitment external/internal campus recruitment events such as presentations/lectures, career fairs, clinical rotation visits, open houses, campus tours, classroom presentation, national/local conferences, and any additional events that arise. Fosters and maintains meaningful, high-touch relationships with key organizations and their collegiate career services offices and faculty and Ochsner Talent Attraction Program (TAP) Department Ambassadors. Provides campus recruitment analysis of recruitment activities and the collegiate talent market (local, regional, and national) to Ochsner Leaders as requested. Partners with the Ochsner Talent Sourcing Team for marketing/follow up.
  • Ownership of Diversity recruitment external events such as presentations/lectures, career fairs, classroom presentation, national/local conferences, and any additional events that arise to support diversity recruitment. Fosters and maintains meaningful, high-touch relationships with key organizations and their collegiate career services offices, diversity organizations, and faculty. Partners with the Ochsner Talent Sourcing Team for marketing/follow up.
  • Individually as needed and in partnership with other members of the TA Career Outreach/Marketing Team assists with organizing, attending, and/or executing external clinical and non-clinical recruiting events including presentations/lectures, career fairs, classroom presentation, national/local conferences, and any additional events that arise. This includes and is not limited to event registration, Avature setup, coordinating TAP Department Ambassador attendance and additional leader and/or recruiter attendance if necessary, travel & participation at the event, supply shipping such as giveaways and recruitment booth and all other duties required to successfully attend an external recruitment event with the goal of creating the necessary talent pipelines for Ochsner. Partners with the Ochsner Talent Sourcing Team for marketing/follow up.
  • Accurately and in a timely manner handles administrative duties of this position that includes but is not limited to tracking inventory, Avature workflow, events spreadsheet, budget spreadsheets, credit card receipts, event recaps, and all other administrative duties that arise.
  • Participates in Employment Branding campaigns to attract more talent to Ochsner.
