This job hires, trains and manages a team of engineers to produce healthcare products and innovative technologies, including but not limited to 3D printing, virtual and augmented reality, medical devices, apps, consumer health devices and machine learning algorithms / artificial intelligence.

Education

Required – Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, math or related degree.

Preferred – Master’s degree in in science, technology, engineering or math.

Work Experience

Required – 1 year of engineering or technology experience in a corporate environment.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of bio statistics, predictive modeling, operational analytics, clinical/financial/utilization outcomes, and ROI calculations.
  • Software programming skills in multiple languages.
  • Strong data management knowledge and ability to collaborate with and lead technical staff.
  • Exceptional healthcare business knowledge including knowledge of hospitals, managed care/insurance products, and industry trends.
  • Ability to innovate, make tough decisions and implement changes, as well as be decisive, action oriented and results driven.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent leadership, self-direction, judgmental, organizational, time management, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally.

Job Duties

  • Hires, trains and manages a team of engineers to produce healthcare products and innovative technologies.
  • Designs, prototypes and implements new healthcare products and innovative technologies.
  • Ensures high reliability of any software systems developed.
  • Optimizes and refines fabrication and production methodologies to increase efficiency and reduce cost.
  • Anticipates and creates flexible and reusable analytic tools to support new and existing products.
  • Conducts people and workforce development.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
