This job is responsible for planning and coordinating business operations and strategic programs for the system service line/geographical footprint. Coordinates, plans, and directs functions associated with the business, financial, and clinical activities, including but not limited to, operations/quality performance and monitoring, regulatory compliance, purchasing and inventory, human resource planning, physician and team member education, volume growth drivers, value-based care, and potential new program development opportunities. Communicates and interprets organizational and departmental mission, goals, and objectives to all areas of responsibility and provides leadership and direction in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of activities within areas of responsibility. Participates in and encourages internal and external training, as well as philanthropic opportunities, research events, and innovation.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education
Required - Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare, Business Administration or related field
Preferred - Master’s Degree in Healthcare, Business Administration or related field
Work Experience
Required -7 years in leadership
Preferred - 10 years of leadership in a complex healthcare environment or patient care delivery system.
Certifications
Preferred - Additional training in business and/or certifications may be combined to meet minimum qualifications. Experience in Lean/Process Improvement.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
- Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information, including proficiency in Windows-style applications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals.
- Ability to exhibit excellent leadership, good judgment in handling difficult situations and good organizational skills, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent time management skills, with ability to prioritize competing objectives.
- Ability to execute without supervision.
- Ability to relate to executive management, professionals, as well as business and community leaders.
- Knowledge of industry standards, healthcare best practices, and external networks to serve as industry expert in respective area.
- Must have ability to travel to all facilities.
- Strong team building skills, leading a team through influence.
Job Duties
- Ensures quality of care and customer satisfaction measured by system performance reviews, accreditation and regulatory compliance, and patient experience scores.
- Builds an engaged workforce through leadership, talent development, and collaborative employee and provider relationships to meet patient demand.
- Oversees education, research, training, and compliance to support cutting edge patient care and all other clinical services.
- Plans and ensures operational profitability and growth, as well as develops and achieves long term strategic business plans through effective relationship building, communication, execution, and accountability.
- Oversees the physical and technological infrastructure and develops organizational structures, programs, and processes to meet organizational goals and patient needs.
- Develops and monitors programs to maintain internal and external relationships of the service line with the public, referring hospitals, referring providers and other professional groups.

Physical and Environmental Demands

Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Sedentary Work. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible. NOTE: The constant stress and strain of maintaining a production rate pace, especially in an industrial setting, can be and is physically demanding of a worker even though the amount of force exerted is negligible.
Normal routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluid or tissue, but exposure or potential for exposure may occur.
The incumbent works with patients who have known or suspected communicable diseases and may enter isolation rooms. The incumbent has an occupational risk for exposure to all communicable diseases.
Because the incumbent works within a healthcare setting, there may be occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste. The risk level of exposure may increase depending on the essential job duties of the role.
