This job identifies, interprets, and translates opportunities related to value-based contracts and shares these opportunities with leadership, operations and data analytics teams. Serves as a subject matter expert and liaison between performance management, operational areas and data and analytics teams to ensure forward progress on system initiatives.

Education

Required - Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) diploma.

Preferred - Bachelor’s degree in nursing, healthcare, statistics, data science, or related field.

Work Experience

Required - 5 years of in nursing, quality analytics, performance improvement, clinical integration or related field.

Certifications

Required – Registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN) license in state of practice.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Analytical skills and ability to use logical thought processes to develop practical solutions to problems.

  • Working knowledge of clinical measures affecting value-based contracts and ability to demonstrate that knowledge through consultation with stakeholders.

  • Understanding of data and clinical documentation best practices to ensure accuracy of data reported.

  • Data analysis skills and ability to evaluate data and translate into meaningful information.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively flex the style and content to reach varied audiences.

  • Ability to drive change, working across varied departments and organizations to ensure performance improvement and quality metrics are used to drive improvement in patient outcomes.

  • Ability to decipher large amounts of information to uncover, and understand the underlying cause, and makes recommendations for improvement.

  • Adequate computer skills and working knowledge of software, Epic, Microsoft office, tableau, etc.

  • Project and time management skills.

Job Duties

  • Analyzes complex clinical data from multiple sources and makes recommendations to leaders to improve quality and patient safety metrics related to medical action planning and risk optimization.

  • Reviews patient chart data and collaborates and communicates with internal and external stakeholders to identify and recommend improvements to drive and influence measures impacting performance of value-based contracts.

  • Interprets and documents business needs to support the development of analytics solutions.

  • Evaluates assigned business processes, challenges, and goals to make recommendations to ensure those goals are achieved and challenges are overcome.

  • Supports all facets of assigned project(s) through the project life cycle.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Normal routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluid or tissue and as part of their employment, incumbents are not called upon to perform or assist in emergency care or first aid.

The incumbent has no occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases.

Because the incumbent works within a healthcare setting, there may be occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste. The risk level of exposure may increase depending on the essential job duties of the role.
