This job plays a major role in positioning the institution for growth through highly effective fundraising. Develops, implements and manages comprehensive programs. Ensures a coordinated approach for annual giving, donor relations, alumni relations, stewardship that supports the organization's top strategic priorities. Participates in the identification, solicitation, and stewardship gifts.Education
- Required – Bachelor’s degree in management, healthcare, communications, marketing or related field.
Work Experience
- Required – 10 years of professional fundraising experience in a large not-for-profit organization.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
Strategic thinking skills and ability to develop and execute innovative solutions.
Ability to secure the maximum level of giving through annual donors and alumni gifts.
Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications and ability to use data analytics to build strategy.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish good working relationships with physicians, patients, donors, volunteers, businesses and the general public as well as handle difficult situations.
Ability to collaborate and adapt to dynamic needs of the team to complete tasks in a reliable manner.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to be detail oriented and manage multiple, complex projects.
Sound understanding of financial reports and budgeting.
Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally.
Management skills and ability to hire, train and inspire the development of the team to be accountable and deliver results.
Job Duties
Provides strategic direction and leadership for the organization's fundraising objectives.
Develops, implements, and evolves existing strategies for lead generation and pipeline management.
Develops and oversees strategies for annual fundraising, including the solicitation of gifts, donor relations, and stewardship, with a focus on sophisticated data analysis, to increase participation rates, dollars, and donors.
Manages ongoing relationships with prospects/donors and recommends specific purpose and level of gifts.
Builds relationships with internal partners to expand engagement and increase fundraising.
Implements and leads a comprehensive plan with marketing and digital team to develop a coordinated plan for content, messaging, and digital platform/materials across various channels to support the growth, image and strategic interest of the philanthropy team.
Establishes and manages staff performance and development goals, assigns accountabilities, fosters collaboration, sets objectives, establishes priorities, and manages performance.
Performs other related duties as required.
