For Students and New Graduates

We provide clear pathways for those beginning their careers in clinical healthcare roles. Our programs are designed to bridge the gap between education and professional practice, ensuring a confident start.

At Ochsner Health, nursing students and newly licensed nurses find the structure, mentorship and real-world experience they need to grow with confidence. Our Nurse Intern Program gives pre-licensure RN students the opportunity to build clinical skills and confidence in actual patient care settings before ever stepping into practice on their own.

Once licensed, the Nurse Residency Program supports that next critical step, guiding new nurses through the transition to professional practice through mentorship, guided learning and peer support. Together, these programs provide a strong foundation from day one and a team behind you for the long run.
Begin your career in a high-demand field. We have openings for new graduates in respiratory therapy, laboratory, radiology and surgical technology.
Louisiana students pursuing nursing or allied health degrees can receive tuition assistance, mentorship and career coaching through the Ochsner Scholars Program.
