This role provides advanced engineering, administration, and operational support for core infrastructure platforms with a focus on Nutanix, virtualization technologies, Active Directory and Entra ID identity services, and enterprise DNS DHCP IPAM NTP through InfoBlox. The engineer ensures platform stability, optimizes performance, strengthens identity and network services, and delivers Level Three support to maintain critical clinical and corporate operations across the enterprise. The engineer partners with architecture, security, and application teams to implement resilient, compliant, and scalable infrastructure solutions aligned to organizational strategy.

Education and Experience

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent

OR

  • 10 years of IT experience
  • 8 years of IT experience with an associate degree
  • 6 years of IT experience with a bachelor degree
  • 4 years of IT experience with a master degree

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Deep experience with Nutanix platform administration including AOS, AHV, Prism, Life Cycle Management, storage policies, and cluster operations
  • Strong experience with virtualization technologies including VMware or AHV compute, virtual networking, templates, capacity, and performance management
  • Extensive experience administering Active Directory, Group Policy, federation services, and Entra ID identity integration
  • Extensive experience administering enterprise InfoBlox services including DNS, DHCP, IPAM, NTP, grid management, failover design, and policy based network services
  • Proficiency with scripting, automation, and infrastructure tooling
  • Strong analytical problem solving skills
  • Clear written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work under changing priorities while maintaining professional interactions
  • Ability to work flexible hours, travel to sites, and support off hours operations

Job Duties

  • Ensures day to day stability and availability of infrastructure services including Nutanix clusters, virtualization platforms, Active Directory and Entra ID, and InfoBlox environments
  • Administers Nutanix clusters including node lifecycle, upgrades, performance tuning, storage configuration, and operational remediation
  • Manages virtualization environments including provisioning, hardening, capacity, lifecycle, patching, and troubleshooting
  • Administers Active Directory and Entra ID including GPO management, identity lifecycle, federation, conditional access, and identity security controls
  • Administers enterprise InfoBlox DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and NTP including grid management, HA, zone design, addressing plans, and integration with cloud and on premise systems
  • Provides Level Three engineering support for identity, DNS, virtualization, and platform infrastructure services
  • Maintains accurate documentation, topology maps, and configuration standards
  • Partners with application and project teams to deliver technical support, guidance, and operational readiness for new solutions
  • Promotes governance standards, operational procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Participates in professional development and quality improvement efforts
  • Performs additional duties as assigned

Very Heavy Work - Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Heavy Work.  (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Sedentary Work. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible. NOTE: The constant stress and strain of maintaining a production rate pace, especially in an industrial setting, can be and is physically demanding of a worker even though the amount of force exerted is negligible.

Normal routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluid or tissue and as part of their employment, incumbents are not called upon to perform or assist in emergency care or first aid.
The incumbent has no occupational risk for exposure for communicable diseases

Because the incumbent works within a healthcare setting, there may be occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste. The risk level of exposure may increase depending on the essential job duties of the role.
