Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Classical Hematologist. Ochsner Health is an integrated healthcare system with more than 36,000 employees and over 4,600 employed and affiliated physicians in over 90 medical specialties and subspecialties. It operates 47 hospitals and more than 370 health and urgent care centers across Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and the Gulf South.
Aside from inpatient and outpatient patient care responsibilities, candidates have the opportunity to participate in or develop clinical research studies, teach fellows and residents, and contribute to the development of the program. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in hematology..
Position Highlights:
- ACGME 2 year Classical Hematology fellowship in addition to 3 year combined fellowship (total 16 fellows)
- Unique practice design with virtual consult coverage supporting inpatient and outpatient care and an innovative , an innovative econsult platform,(allows for some weeks of flexibility working from home)
- Highly trained advanced practitioner resource support
- Dedicated Classical Hematology Team without malignant hematology or oncology care responsibilities
- Educational and research opportunities
- Pathology support, apheresis and blood bank team, continuously growing in house lab capability (includes factor levels, inhibitor studies)
- pursuing site accreditation for gene therapies
